Review Artwork Proposals

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

We are very excited to reveal five artwork proposals for the Village roundabout beautification. The call to artists yielded eight submissions, which were narrowed to five, which are showcased here. These proposals have not been approved by ADOT at this time.  That step will follow public comment period.

Public comment period closed on May 30th, 2024.  Selection results will be posted here and in local media outlets after committee review and required agency approvals.  Thank you for your participation.

Five Artwork Proposals
for the Four Village Roundabouts

We invite the community to participate in the artworks selection process.  Visual appeal, reflection of our community's sense of place and compatibility with the landscape are of course subjective - please submit your impressions of the artists' submissions at the bottom of the five pages showcasing each proposal. Click on each photo to be taken to a page dedicated to that art/artist.

After the field has been narrowed, the artworks will be submitted to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) for approval. Funds will be raised to acquire the artworks, and installation plans initiated.  We are seeking sponsors and donations from businesses, residents and community groups. If you are interested in donating, please indicate such in your comments for each art piece to be a part of this important community project.

There may be no better way to communicate what we do than through images. As you browse our submittals, take a few moments to comment.
